Born to a singer, in a lineage of singers, and having sung classical and choral music her whole life, it may come as a surprise to learn that Ariana didn't even know she was a "singer" until 1996, when a song and a voice suddenly flew from her lips unannounced...

Immediately aware of her path, Ariana set herself to songwriting. In the midst of composing over 100 songs, she was invited to join the stellar Middle Eastern and Mediterranean band, Sherefe, which introduced her to a whole world of exotic scales, rhythms, instrumentation, and vocal stylings.

Along the way, she fell in love with the passion of Indian "bhakti" (devotional) music, and has been singing in Sanskrit ever since. Now her studies also take her deeply into classical Indian raga music. Weaving the worlds from the Far and Middle East, along with Celtic and Flamenco flavorings, pop sensibility, and her distinctive soulsong, Ariana has developed a musical style that is rooted in tradition, yet full of freshness and hope for the future.

It is her utmost devotion to bridge cultures and musical styles in service to healing this beautiful, war-torn earth. Ariana does this in the most enchanting way, through the soulfelt devotion and purity of her angelic voice.
